People frequently ask me "You're a Catholic, isn't Astrology contrary to the laws of the church?". My answer to that is simply "No, I don't believe so".
A learned priest once gave a homily in Calgary. He confirmed everything I believe, which is that Astrology and the Planets are all part of God's eternal wisdom. LOVE is the lesson of my faith; that we must love one another, and treat others as we would want to be treated ourselves. That is the bottom line for every faith under the sun.
I use Astrology as a tool for life - not a crutch. It has helped me to understand the people I encounter in my life, and with that understanding comes compassion. What's wrong with that?
I believe that God, and God alone ordains our destiny.
I would not make any major decisions, before seeing what the planets are up to. By major decisions, I mean selling my house, any business decisions, etc. I use it pretty much like I would a weather forecast. I would employ caution, if the situation called for that. And likewise, wait for a more suitable time, if the timing is not right. Everything in life, is a question of timing. Just like a weather forecast, sometimes it is deadly accurate, and then sometimes, it does not hit the mark. Common sense is the key ingredient here.
The psychology of Astrology has always been more fascinating to me. The 12 personality types, their natures, and the compatibility between couples. Now, that to me is the REAL strength of Astrology. Know your people - know yourself, and you're off to the races!
